A duck suddenly vaporizes from a pond while eating bread, He then finds himself in a small dark place.  He can hear conversations about baseball cards and cribbage cards.  BANG there’s a blast of light he’s on the floor of a Collectors Connection in downtown Duluth, MN.  He doesn’t know what to do, and then suddenly he starts eating everything in sight.  He’s growing bigger and bigger, he is bigger then the people now.  He eats them and soon all the buildings on that block.  He then swims away on Lake Superior, planning never to come back here ever again.
He swims the oceans stopping every now and then.  It’s been a year since he popped out of that kids knee, and he has a sudden urge to return to Duluth.  There’s the kid on the boardwalk drinking a Pepsi.  When the duck seen him, he swam up to him and scooped him up on to his back.  The kid fell a sleep until they arrived in Australia. He let the kid off there and went to visit his friend Bob the polar bear who lived in Antarctica.
He stayed with him for a few years until Wally showed up in a big fuzzy yellow car and said, “Its Time”.  They drove to Australia and got the kid, and his kangaroo.  They went and got bob so they could drop him off in Hawaii on their way to America.
When they arrived nobody was there and the sign on the door said be back in 15 minutes, so they waited.  No one ever came back, so they let themselves in, and had a big party.  A week later everybody came back, and threw them all in prison for life, and impounded Wally’s car.
Luckily the kid had a Spork behind his ear so they were able to dig out.  They dug all the way to Poland, where they hid out for a couple years.  Then left for Ireland to get some lucky charms and a pot of gold.  They got the lucky charms but the duck ate them all, and shrunk down into an itty-bitty duck, and popped back into the kids knee.  The duck continued eating bread and swimming merrily in his pond, wondering whether it was real or not.
And that’s why rainbows have stripes and not polka dots.

Here is the odd thing about this story, it was a dream I had over two nights.  The first night was up to him going to Antarctica then right before I woke up it said to be continued…
The next night I had the rest of the dream. But it gets stranger 2 years after the dream the block that this dream started on with Collectors Connection was demolished.

It was noon on a friday, he jogged up the stairway slammed open the door and shouted, ” Hey where did my hippo go”.  Joe was looking for that hippo since yesterday afternoon.  His mother gave that hippo to him when he was a baby, it was one of those toys you put in water and it grew bigger.  He loved it, and needed it, so he was whimpering to everyone he passed “have you seen my hippo, I want my hippo back”.  People just gawked at him thinking why is this man walking around with just his boxers on.  Its the day before christmas, and its 30° below zero he must be crazy.  Joe did look crazy and maybe

Stupid he was pissed and he let everyone know just how pissed off he was.  So he ran to Toys R Us and put all of the hippos he could find in the cart.  Then headed for the door.  “Stop, police!” A man warned.

“Don’t take my hippos they are my hippos I’m their daddy.  Don’t take them away from their daddy.”  Joe pleaded with the officer.  Joe was huddled up in a little ball with his hippos wearing only his rhinoceroses boxers and sucking his thumb.  At this point joe realized he had rhinos on his boxers, not hippos.  He then stripped them off and threw them at the officer.  The officer was very scarred and intimidated. “Gross” yelled the officer.

“If you touch my hippos I’ll kill everybody here.”  “Ok” said as he raised his pistol and fired at one of the hippos.  Thats when Joe ran into the woods yelling ” I’ll be back to avenge the death of the hippo”.  All that was ever found of joe was his skeleton with hippos all around it.
